What style do you teach? I teach mainly Hatha/Vinyasa style classes. I like yoga to challenge the body and mind, but for me the most important part of yoga is to truly tune in to your own body!
What is your favourite thing about yoga? That yoga is accepting of everyone. It is there for every individual in their own unique way and is so diverse in how it impacts people. From breath work, meditation to the physical Asana!
Why do you love teaching? It makes me feel alive! I am so passionate about yoga and how it can help people that I love being able to share that.
Did you enjoy sports growing up? Oh yes! I did everything, Badminton, Figure Skating, Netball, Hockey and swimming. I love being active, always have, always will!
Do you have any advice for fitting exercise into your daily routine? Do what you enjoy!! Find what you want to do and you’ll want to make time for it. Second, just make some time everyday to move your body – whether its a work out or 5 minutes of stretching at your office chair.
Favourite and least favourite THW exercises?
Fave: punches and squat Jacks!
worst: Prone Y and jump lunges!
How has THW helped you? The THW community has been a lifeline this year with everything going on, everyone is so supportive and I love the variety in work outs.
One tip to stay motivated? Listen to your body, rest when you need to so you don’t burn out.
Motto to live by? I don’t really have a motto, but my gran used to tell me ‘what’s for you, won’t go by you’ so it always comes to mind 🙂
