Tell us a little about your hockey career journey?
I began playing for Scotland Under 16s at the age of 14 many, many years ago! Over the years I progressed up the age groups until 2012 when I was awarded my first Scotland Senior cap. I went on to play 93 times for Scotland, including playing in 3 European A division Championships and most recently the Commonwealth Games in 2018. Competing in tournaments all over the world and getting to travel to places such as Rio, South Africa and Australia were amazing experiences! I also play for the club side Clydesdale Western in Glasgow and have done for around 15 years.

What are your hockey career highlights?
My career highlights are from the very beginning and end of my Scotland career; Receiving my first Scotland cap in Glasgow in 2012 in front of all of my friends and family was a very special day. My other career highlight was competing at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast 2018.

When did you retire?
I retired earlier this year in June

How are you find the transition into not competing professionally anymore and what’s next?
I haven’t found the transition to be too hard as throughout my international hockey career I always worked full time so now I just have a bit more time on my hands without all the training. It is strange not seeing all the girls at training nearly every day

What do you love most about Three Hiit Wonder?
I love that I can do the sessions wherever I am as I don’t need any equipment. I also love the variety in the sessions and no two sessions are ever the same.

What are your two favourite THW exercises and your two least favourite?
My two favourite exercises are burpees and mountain climbers and my least favourite exercise is dips

How has THW helped you in life?
Three Hiit Wonder has been amazing for me over the last year. After breaking my leg and not being able to run or play hockey, THW was great as I could do the low impact exercises. The THW group has helped me find my love for exercise again.
